Random Pics

Here are just some random pictures that we've captured over the last several weeks...

One of Jacob's favorite hiding spots.. the pantry !

Brusha, Brusha, Brusha.. he loves to brush his teeth! I think it's more about the playing with the water but I'll take what I can.

Brenna - bruises are courtesy of the hospital trip and many attempts to start her IV
We decided to try to get a few family pics and some pics of the kids ourselves this year. Nonna came to the park with us and did a great job capturing some shots. However, we had one family member that did not cooperate at all.. any guesses who that is? See below for the first picture and the crocodile tears for a hint.. ha, ha

First pic and already DONE!!

It looks like he might be smiling here but for the record he was actually screaming!

Proving he is done with the camera.. NO MORE PICS NONNA

Brenna - she was NOT the problem!

Looking at a bug.. not a bad pic but too bad he wasn't looking up.
After 260+ pictures there is not one where Jacob is looking at the camera smiling. Our Christmas cards should be interesting this year. They might just have one of the more expressive pictures of Jacob throwing a fit on them. Oh the joys of the terrible two's!!

M-I-Z

As most everyone knows there is a 'friendly' rivalry in the family between the black and gold and the red and white. We all know the right choice is black and gold but those Husker fans just don't give up. Here are a few pics of Jacob sporting his Tiger gear.

Jacob and Brenna with their Nonna - Nonna in her Husker gear and Jacob in his Tiger gear

Jacob and Brenna - he loves to hold his sister and give her kisses

Jacob in Brenna's swing.. Yes, he got a hold of that Binkie during the day (doesn't happen very often at all)

Love this little guy so much.. how can you not love that smile?!? :)

Showing off the full outfit!

Wearing the black and gold to get pumpkins!

Jacob's New Slide

I've been looking for a slide for Jacob for some time and finally got one from a friend whose kids were growing out of it. Jacob LOVES it! Since we are coming up on a Midwest winter we've kept the slide inside so Jacob can get use out of it in the upcoming months. As you can tell Jacob loves the slide and everyone that comes over has enjoyed playing on it too.
This is Jacob in his Sunday pearls and backwards cardinal hat (like dad) playing on the slide!

Getting ready to go down the slide
YAY!!

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!

Jacob absolutely hates to wear anything on his head and I knew fur wasn't going to fly so I had to be careful about our costume choice if I had any chance of him wearing it. I found a doctor's outfit that I was pretty confident he would wear. Not to mention one of his favorite toys is the real stethoscope he got from his hospital visit last year. He definitely was not in a picture kind of mood - as you will see the smiles were far and few between. I kept telling him to "say cheese" (something that normally yields a big smile). However, Jacob has his own plan and kept saying "no cheese" and turning his head.. and so the terrible 2's begin!

One of the best pictures from the day - Jacob would tell you he was 'Doctor Beffa'

Our first stop of the day was Aunt Nicki's house - here is Jacob and Daniel (Jake and Daniel are 8 weeks apart)

All four of the kids - Brenna (who was in her outfit but threw up on it when we were getting in the car seat - dad stayed home to do a load of laundry), Jacob, Reese and Daniel.

Jacob and Brenna - Round 2 of her outfit! In person the outfit was ridiculously huge (and it was a newborn size) but we made it work.

Jacob and Daddy trick or treating at Nonna's

Jacob finally smiling.. only because he's eating and coloring with his new markers from Nonna!

Brenna and me.. my little pumpkin is getting bigger!

Showing off his stethoscope!

Jacob and me.. another one of the few smiles!

Best shot at a family picture

Back at home .. ready to head around our new neighborhood

Trick or Treating in our subdivision.. it got a little cold. Jacob finally caught on to the trick or treating thing at the last few houses. However, he didn't want to put any of his candy in his pale.. I think he was afraid it would disappear.

Back at home.. eating the candy!
